HYDROXYDRENE® SYSTEM
40 Fat Blocker Support Complex
20 Carb Blocker Support Complex
20 Thermogenic Support Complex

Our approach to the formulation of Hydroxydrene included the following important points:
(1)  Completeness: Hydroxydrene provides several major beneficial nutrients which support key areas of mitochondrial function and protect against oxidant stress.
(2)  Scientifically Sound: Only those nutrients that are backed by convincing scientific evidence from clinical, epidemiological, and experimental studies are included.
(3)  Quality: Hydroxydrene contains only the purest, high-quality nutrients that accurately reflect those used in scientific studies.
(4)  Potency: Each of the nutrients in Hydroxydrene are provided in physiologically meaningful amounts that are based on published scientific and/or clinical studies. Hydroxydrene is suitable for long-term health maintenance.

FAT BLOCKER SUPPORT COMPLEX
CLA is a mixture of conjugated dienoic derivatives of linoleic acid from safflower oil.CLA's activity as a potent metabolic modulator was first recognized in research of its metabolic activity has now expanded to include its ability to modulate lipid and energy metabolism, particularly control of body fat and muscle. Research in several animal models has demonstrated that CLA reduces body fat accumulation. Some studies have shown that the reduction in body fat occurs regardless of whether the diet is high or low in fat. It appears that increased energy expenditure is responsible for the decreased fat accumulation.

This increase in metabolic rate is thought to be responsible for the reduction in body fat stores. Initially promoted to aid in weight loss, researchers are concluding CLA affects body composition by reducing body fat and promoting lean muscle mass. More recently, research has moved from CLA as beneficial for weight loss to weight management. In humans, the greatest body fat to lean muscle effect appears to be when CLA supplementation is combined with anabolic stimulus, e.g. weight training, aerobics or other strenuous exercise. CLA's antiobesity effects have also been suggested to involve an inhibition and/or apoptosis of (pre)adipocytes.

Safflower Oil: The omega-6 fatty acid in safflower oil responsible for prostaglandin production, is also a catalyst for burning brown fat. During normal metabolism, safflower oil stimulates the body's brown fat into a flurry of calorie-burning activity. When brown fat is active on a regular basis, the body is best able to maintain its ideal weight.

CARB BLOCKER SUPPORT COMPLEX
Glucose metabolism that is associated with abnormally high blood glucose can lead to high levels of glycation. Glycation is the non-enzymatic attachment of sugars to major molecules in the body, including proteins, lipids, and nucleic acids. Glycation reactions generate advanced glycation end-products (AGEs) and glycotoxin intermediates. AGEs cause abnormal and destructive functioning of body proteins, lipids, and nucleic acids. AGE-associated damage is suspected in the pathogenesis of many diseases and age-related deteriorations, such as atherosclerosis, Alzheimer's disease, and severe diabetic complications, including neuropathy, nephropathy, retinopathy, and cataracts.

Gymnema sylvestre
is an Ayurvedic botanical that may assist in the regeneration and repair of pancreatic beta cells. Gymnema is also suspected of reducing intestinal glucose absorption.

Bitter melon
(Momordica charantia) grows in tropical areas, including parts of East Africa, Asia, the Caribbean, and South America, where it is used as a food as well as a medicinal remedy. The fruit of this plant lives up to its name; it tastes very bitter. At least three different groups of constituents in bitter melon have been reported to have hypoglycemic (blood sugar lowering).

Alpha-lipoic acid is a fat- and water-soluble, sulfur-containing coenzyme. It functions in the body much like a B-vitamin, since it is involved in energy production. As part of several multi-enzyme complexes located in the mitochondria, alpha-lipoic acid is essential for metabolizing carbohydrates, proteins, and fats, and for the conversion of their energy into ATP. Two of these enzyme complexes, PDH (pyruvate dehydrogenase) and alpha-KGDH (alpha-ketoglutarate dehydrogenase) are part of the citric acid cycle (Krebs cycle), and as such assume a central role for general energy production. Another lipoic acid containing enzyme complex, BCKADH (branched-chain keto-acid dehydrogenase), is involved in deriving energy from the branched chain amino acids, leucine, isoleucine, and valine. A related metabolic function of alpha-lipoic acid is Chromium is anintegral component of the glucose tolerance factor(GTF), a naturally occurring compound of chromium, nicotinic acid, and amino acids that us essential for proper glucose metabolism.

Alpha-lipoic acid is a required coenzyme involved in the energy metabolism of proteins, carbohydrates, and fats. It is also a potent antioxidant that neutralizes free radicals generated both inside and outside of membranes. In addition to its direct antioxidant activity, alpha-lipoic acid helps recycle vitamins C and E and stimulates the synthesis of glutathione.

N-Acetyl-L-Cysteine (NAC). NAC is a nutrient precursor to glutathione and is effective at raising intracellular glutathione levels. Like alpha-lipoic acid, glutathione is an important antioxidant protector of mitochondrial membranes

Fenugreek active constituents are alkaloids, lysine and L-tryptophan. It also contains steroidal saponins (diosgenin, yamogenin, tigogenin, and neotigogenin) and mucilaginous fiber which are believed to be responsible for many of the beneficial effects fenugreek exhibits.

The chemical compounds found in fenugreek have the ability to aid the digestive process. Consequently, when taken with meals it is believed that fenugreek is able to slow down the rate at which sugars are absorbed into the body, whereby regulating blood sugar levels..

As mentioned previously fenugreek contains a substantial amount of mucilaginous fiber. The mucilage found in fenugreek does not dissolve but instead swells when mixed with fluids. Since the body cannot digest the mucilage from fenugreek it is believed to be an effective laxative

Vanadium potentiate insulin action and thus influence carbohydrate, protein, and fat metabolism.

St. John's Wort  may improve the functioning of the body's feeding mechanisms by reducing stress associated anxiety that could lead to overeating.

THERMOGENIC SUPPORT COMPLEX
Garcinia cambogia extract. This natural extract comes from a tropical fruit grown in several Asian rain forest areas. Garcinia, when taken over a period of time, has the ability to slow production of fat and help the body metabolize it more efficiently. Garcinia increases how much energy the body burns (basal metabolic rate). Garcinia helps reduces carbohydrate craving and appetite, overall and increases weight loss during dieting.

Hydroxycitric acid helps maintain a healthy balance of hepatic lipogenesis and gluconeogenesis, thus preventing excessive conversion of glucose from carbohydrate into body fat. It is found in Garcinia cambogia, a tropical fruit grown in Asian rain forest area. Research also indicates that Hydroxycitric acid plays an important role in the regulation of a normal appetite.

Hydroxycitric acid helps maintain a healthy balance of hepatic lipogenesis and gluconeogenesis, thus preventing excessive conversion of glucose from dietary carbohydrate into body fat. Further, research indicates that Hydroxycitric acid plays an important role in the regulation of normal appetite. Unlike many commonly used diet ingredients, Hydroxycitric acid is not a central nervous stimulant. It creates a process in the body called thermogenesis.
